Goyang-si to Promote Designation of Model Operators for Automobile Management Business in 2025

Apply to the district office in charge from the 16th to the 31st
Two-year exemption benefit from vehicle inspection under the Automobile Management Act

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 16th that it will designate the "2025 Model Operators of Automobile Management Business" to improve the service level of automobile management businesses.

This is in accordance with the "Ordinance on the Designation of Model Operators of Automobile Management Business in Goyang City," enacted last July.

Applicants must have operated an automobile repair business in Goyang City for more than three years as of the announcement date. Those who have violated automobile management laws or have unpaid local taxes within the past two years are not eligible to apply.

Accordingly, businesses wishing to apply can refer to the announcement on the Goyang City website and submit application documents in person at the relevant district office or by mail from the 16th to the 31st.

The designation of model operators will comprehensively evaluate categories such as ▶ customer service ▶ workplace facilities and environment ▶ quality certification and technical management ▶ community contribution activities.

For the submitted businesses, the district offices will conduct a first document review and a second on-site evaluation by January, followed by a final review by the city designation committee. In February, 35 repair businesses are expected to be designated as model operators.

Once designated as a model operator, inspections under the Automobile Management Act will be exempted for two years. Additionally, the city will support promotion through the issuance of designation certificates and plaques, as well as various promotional media operated by Goyang City.
