Nonsan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 16th that 120,000 people visited the Yangchon Dried Persimmon Festival, which was held from the 13th to the 15th.
This year's festival took place in Incheon-ri, Yangchon-myeon (Yangchon Dried Persimmon Special Zone) under the subtitle "Yangchon, Enjoy Delicious Dried Persimmons." The festival featured a dried persimmon photo zone, Morakmorak Zone, and Sarangbang Rest Area, all of which created a glamping and Christmas atmosphere with an emotional theme.
The Morakmorak Zone offered hands-on experiences where families could gather together to roast quail, sweet potatoes, chestnuts, and more, creating special memories.
Unique experience zones such as the dried persimmon drying rack experience, Merry Dried Persimmon Day, and the Mission! Gampossible booth, all utilizing dried persimmons, received enthusiastic responses from tourists.
Baek Sunghyun, Mayor of Nonsan, said, "It was a festival where people could experience a special gift from nature. Thanks to the visitors who came despite the cold weather and challenging circumstances, we were able to enhance the value of Yangchon and Nonsan." He added, "Next year, we will strive to satisfy even more tourists with richer programs and even tastier dried persimmons."
