Ecopro Delivers 23,000 Briquettes to Energy-Vulnerable Groups in Pohang and Ochang

EcoPro has stepped up to support vulnerable groups in energy blind spots during the cold season, providing briquettes and heating oil to help them have a warm winter.

Last week, EcoPro held a volunteer briquette delivery event in Jukcheon 1-ri village, Heunghae-eup, Buk-gu, Pohang City, with about 30 employees participating.

Since 2021, EcoPro has been supporting local residents struggling with heating costs due to soaring energy prices by providing briquettes and heating oil worth approximately 60 million KRW to 234 households through this year.

This year, EcoPro provided fuel worth about 20 million KRW, including 12,000 briquettes and 6,400 liters of heating oil, to 80 low-income households near the EcoPro Pohang Campus. In Ochang, they plan to support about 50 low-income households this week with 11,000 briquettes.

Notably, while only material donations were made until last year, this year employees participated as volunteers, personally delivering briquettes to some of the recipient households, conveying warm hearts.

The employees who participated in the briquette delivery volunteered in line, delivering briquettes directly despite the cold weather.

An EcoPro official stated, "Although it is just a small briquette, it was delivered with the warm hearts of our employees for the love of neighbors," adding, "We will continue to strive to discover various social contribution activities to practice the value of sharing."
