A Step Toward Fostering a High-Level Sports Culture
Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Jeon Jin-seon) announced on the 16th that it conducted sports human rights education on the 12th for the Yangpyeong-gun Office workplace sports club Ssireum team and Yangpyeong FC.

Supported by the Gyeonggi-do Sports Human Rights Center, this education was carried out with the purpose of preventing human rights violations occurring in the sports field and fostering a high-quality sports culture so that all athletes can safely engage in sports activities. A total of 50 people attended, including coaches and players of the Yangpyeong-gun Office Ssireum team and Yangpyeong FC coaches and players.
In particular, the education held under the subtitle "Where Sports and Human Rights Meet" focused on topics such as "Violence Prevention and Enhancement of Sports Human Rights," addressing the importance of sports ethics and the necessity of sports human rights for athletes. The session lasted about two hours.
An official who participated in the education said, "We appreciate Yangpyeong-gun's support for protecting the human rights of athletes," and added, "We hope the education continues so that all athletes and sportspeople can be happy in the sports field."
Jeon Jin-seon, Governor of Yangpyeong-gun, stated, "A culture of mutual respect and consideration is a fundamental norm that we all must uphold," and added, "Its importance is increasingly growing, especially in the sports sector. Through today's education, I hope not only to enhance understanding and knowledge but also to spread a workplace culture where colleagues respect and consider each other and enjoy sports together."
