"Labor-Management Conflicts Are Difficult but Resolved Through Dialogue and Compromise"
On the 16th, Kim Moon-soo, Minister of Employment and Labor, requested that labor and management continue social dialogue to prepare reasonable institutional improvement measures for future generations, such as resolving disparities in continuous employment and the labor market.
Minister Kim made these remarks at the "National Agency Heads Meeting," attended by the heads of 48 local employment and labor offices nationwide and the directors of the Employment Department headquarters.

Minister Kim expressed a heavy sense of responsibility as a member of the State Council regarding the current situation, urging, "At times like these, all public officials responsible for the livelihood in the employment and labor sector must unwaveringly perform their duties centered on the field to ensure that the public experiences no inconvenience."
He continued, regarding labor-management relations, jobs, and industrial safety related to the Employment Department's work, "We must strengthen on-site administration for meticulous support tailored to each target group, such as special employment workers, platform workers, small business operators, and construction workers, as well as prevent wage arrears," and requested, "We will actively support resolving labor-management conflicts through dialogue and compromise, even if difficult."
He emphasized, "We must provide customized employment support and vocational training for youth who have experienced difficulties in employment, and pay special attention to preventing industrial safety accidents such as fires and explosions at industrial sites during the winter season."
Minister Kim also mentioned that for projects directly related to the public livelihood, such as youth work experience, preparations should be made to promptly execute them from early next year to focus on resolving employment difficulties.
