AI-Based River Access Management System to Be Implemented in Cheongyang-eup Eumnae 3 and 4-ri Areas
Cheongyang County, Chungnam Province, announced on the 16th that it has been selected for the "2025 Urban Regeneration Smart Technology Support Project for Everyday Life."
Accordingly, the county will invest a total project budget of 879 million KRW (including 527 million KRW from the national government) by next year to implement three smart technology support projects in Eumnae 3-ri and 4-ri areas of Cheongyang-eup: △AI-based river access management △AI-based safe walking system for school routes △smart platform establishment.
The AI-based river access management is a service that restricts river access by predicting the possibility of heavy rain and flooding using artificial intelligence. The AI-based safe walking system for school routes is a system that installs right-turn responsive electronic signboards in right-turn blind spots to prevent traffic accidents involving general pedestrians and children.
Kim Dongon, the county governor, said, "The introduction of urban regeneration smart technology has become an opportunity to create a safer and more convenient local environment and to enhance residents' convenience," adding, "We will continue to actively discover sustainable smart services that residents can truly experience by linking them with urban regeneration projects."
