On the same day, the Joint Headquarters announced to the media, "We plan to deliver the summons for President Yoon Seok-yeol to the Presidential Office today." The charges against President Yoon include rebellion and abuse of authority.

The Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency referred only the case against President Yoon to the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Division (Gongsoocheo). The remaining cases will continue to be investigated by the Special Investigation Unit. This was done to facilitate a swift and efficient investigation under emergency martial law, accepting Gongsoocheo's request at the National Police Agency. A police official explained, "We plan to continue joint investigations by continuously providing the materials secured through related investigations to Gongsoocheo."

The Joint Headquarters is composed of Gongsoocheo, the National Police Agency's Investigation Headquarters, and the Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters. The Joint Headquarters was launched on the 11th to maximize the strengths of each agency, including Gongsoocheo's legal expertise and authority to request warrants, the National Police Agency's investigative experience and capabilities, and the Ministry of National Defense Investigation Headquarters' military expertise.
