Hyundai Glovis announced on the 16th that it has been included in the highest rating, the 'World Index,' for four consecutive years in the '2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)' evaluation.
DJSI is a sustainability management evaluation index jointly developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices, a global financial information provider based in the United States, and S&P Global Switzerland SA, a global sustainability assessment organization.
Since its first evaluation in 1999, it comprehensively assesses companies' economic performance, environmental, and social aspects (ESG) annually. This index is used as a sustainability evaluation and social responsibility investment indicator for global companies.
Hyundai Glovis was the first domestic logistics company to be included in the World Index in 2021 and has received the highest rating for four consecutive years through this year. Approximately 10% of the top 2,500 companies worldwide by market capitalization are selected for the DJSI World Index. Hyundai Glovis ranked 3rd in the 'Transportation and Transportation Infrastructure sector' based on evaluation scores.
Hyundai Glovis received particularly high evaluations in social, economic, and governance categories. Factors included conducting human rights assessments targeting employees and partners and establishing new competency enhancement training programs.
A Hyundai Glovis official stated, "As we have been included in the DJSI World Index for four consecutive years, we will continue management activities that have a positive impact on society and the environment."
Hyundai Glovis plans to pursue mutual growth with its partners to respond to strengthened European regulations such as the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and to explore support measures in human rights, safety, and environmental fields to raise the ESG management level of its partners.
