Yongin City to Distribute Farmers' Basic Income for Second Half of the Year Today

13,266 People, Over 4.1 Billion Won Paid in Local Currency

Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province, will pay the '2024 2nd Farmer Basic Income' on the 16th to stabilize the income of local farmers and strengthen agricultural competitiveness.

The total amount of the Farmer Basic Income to be paid this time is 4.1175 billion KRW. A total of 13,266 farmers who reside in Yongin and are actually engaged in agriculture will receive up to 600,000 KRW, 50,000 KRW per month, in the local currency 'Yongin Y- Pay.'

Farmers who received payments in the first half of the year will receive 300,000 KRW for the second half, and farmers who are newly applying or who were disqualified in the first half but deemed eligible after income verification in the second half will receive 600,000 KRW for the entire year.

Farmers who have received Youth Basic Income or Fishermen and Farmers Opportunity Income can receive support funds excluding the months they have already been paid, and those who have moved out will be paid for the period they contributed.

The payment conditions require continuous residence in Yongin for two years or residence in Gyeonggi Province for five years, and engagement in agricultural production activities such as crop cultivation, livestock farming, or forestry for at least one continuous year in Yongin or three continuous years in Gyeonggi Province. However, those with comprehensive income over 37 million KRW outside of agriculture, recipients of Youth Basic Income or Fishermen and Farmers Opportunity Income, and fraudulent recipients subject to restrictions on public direct payment are excluded from eligibility.

The Farmer Basic Income will be paid to the Yongin Y-Pay card registered at the time of application. If the card is lost or not possessed, it can be issued at the industrial or industrial environment department of the district office of residence or at the eup/myeon administrative welfare center.

The Farmer Basic Income can be used at small business stores and local agricultural and livestock cooperatives. The usage period is 180 days after payment. If not used within the usage period, it will be automatically reclaimed.
