The meeting was held in response to the suspension of the president's duties following the passage of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol in the National Assembly plenary session the previous day, and the transition to the Prime Minister's acting system until the Constitutional Court's impeachment judgment.

At the meeting, the city decided to strengthen monitoring of relevant ministries' trends due to concerns over delays in central government policy decisions on major issues such as ▲the inclusion in the 5th National Railroad Network Construction Plan and ▲the promotion to a general district next year. The city will also reinforce cooperation with related organizations to ensure the smooth launch of the special city status next year, thoroughly implement administrative procedures and institutional aspects, and conduct thorough publicity to citizens.

Mayor Jeong said, "The city's top priority in this emergency situation is the stability of the local community and economy," and urged, "Please make every effort to restore damages caused by the recent heavy snowfall and to resolve the suggestions raised by companies and agricultural, livestock, and fishery workers during the meetings."

Mayor Jeong also stated, "We must thoroughly monitor and support so that political instability does not affect citizens' livelihoods," and ordered, "All city departments as well as affiliated public institutions should do their best in their original duties."
