LG announced on the 15th that it donated 12 billion KRW in year-end Neighbor Love funds to the Community Chest of Korea.

With LG's donation on this day, the temperature of the 'Temperature of Love Tower' installed at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul, rose by about 3 degrees. The Community Chest of Korea's year-end fundraising goal for this year is 449.7 billion KRW, and the mercury rises by 1 degree for every approximately 4.5 billion KRW, which is 1% of the target amount, raised.
Since 2022, the Community Chest of Korea has been using LG Electronics' portable screen StandbyME instead of disposable plastic panels at donation ceremonies to embody the meaning of practicing carbon neutrality.
At the event, President Ha Beom-jong said, "It is also one of the responsibilities of a company to help neighbors in need have hope and courage," adding, "We will continue to carry out public interest projects based on LG's capabilities to become a trusted company by society."
LG affiliates are also conducting winter supply support, donation deliveries, and volunteer activities involving employees to help local communities and neighbors have a warm winter as the year ends.
LG Electronics, LG Display, LG Innotek, LG Chem, LG Energy Solution, LG Household & Health Care, and others support neighbors near their workplaces with kimchi-making, briquettes, daily necessities, scholarships, and sponsorship funds. Additionally, LG Uplus, together with its partners, produced and delivered 'Love Packages' containing groceries for elderly people living alone.
LG affiliates also operate social contribution activities with direct employee participation. LG Electronics employees create Christmas decorations using fabric scraps discarded during sock production and distribute them to children at local community child centers nationwide through the 'Santa Starts with Me' campaign. They also conduct the 'Introducing My Job' event, where employees visit high schools to provide job-related mentoring. LG Display held a Christmas campaign where employees gifted items requested by children from low-income families based on their stories. LG Uplus plans to hold the 'U+ Hope Santa' event on the 16th, where key executives and employees will personally meet and share warmth with underprivileged children.
