20 Outstanding Job Companies Selected... Benefits of Development Funds Provided

On the 13th, Jeollanam-do held the ‘2024 Jeonnam Job and Economy Festival’ at the Eastern Government Complex to share achievements in job creation, regional economy, and investment attraction throughout the year and to encourage outstanding contributors.


The event was attended by Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam, along with mayors, county heads, and representatives of excellent job-creating companies, totaling about 100 participants. Certification plaques were awarded to outstanding job-creating companies, and commendations were given to cities and counties that achieved excellent results in job creation, regional economic revitalization, and investment attraction.


A total of 20 companies, including Cheonsa Food Co., Ltd., were certified as outstanding job-creating companies and received employment environment improvement funds of 14 million KRW along with preferential benefits for small and medium enterprise development funds.

In the job creation category, Gwangyang City won the grand prize, while Naju City and Hwasun County were honored with the top excellence awards. Excellence awards went to Yeosu City, Yeongam County, and Yeonggwang County, and encouragement awards were given to Goheung County, Muan County, and Jindo County.


In the regional economic revitalization category, Jindo County, which actively supported small business owners facing sales declines and promoted seafood consumption, received the grand prize. Mokpo City and Yeonggwang County won the top excellence awards, Yeosu City, Suncheon City, and Hwasun County received excellence awards, and Gwangyang City, Haenam County, and Muan County were given encouragement awards.


In the investment attraction category, Gwangyang City, which attracted large-scale investments through active regulatory innovation, won the grand prize. Gokseong County and Jangheung County received top excellence awards, Yeosu City, Yeongam County, and Jindo County were awarded excellence awards, and Naju City, Gangjin County, and Muan County received encouragement awards.


Governor Kim Young-rok stated, "The creation of future jobs that support the cultivation of new growth industries is the driving force behind regional revitalization," adding, "We will continue to communicate steadily with cities, counties, and businesspeople to inject vitality into the stagnant regional economy."
