Introducing the new products launched by the distribution industry on the 13th. GS25 released ‘IGIN Apple Tonic,’ a local co-prosperity mixology alcoholic beverage. Ottogi launched three types of soups using Ottogi curry and powdered soup, and HiteJinro released a new 490ml can of ‘Terra Light.’ SPC Dunkin unveiled winter goods, the ‘Wasabi Bear Pouch 3 types.’

GS25 is introducing ‘IGIN Apple Tonic,’ a local co-prosperity mixology (mixing alcoholic beverages according to taste) drink. This product was planned to promote mutual growth with local farms while reflecting the recent trends of low-alcohol beverages and mixology spreading among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). The product is based on a fermented liquid made from rice from the Yesan region and high-sugar apples, and is available in two flavors: a tangy tonic (apple & plum) with added refreshing plum concentrate, and a sweet tonic (apple & watermelon) with added sweet watermelon concentrate. With an alcohol content of 4%, it can be enjoyed lightly, and the price per can is 4,500 KRW. From the 16th to the 18th of this month, it can be purchased in bundles (6 cans) through GS Retail’s mobile app ‘Our Neighborhood GS’ under ‘Wine25Plus.’

LG Household & Health Care’s toothpaste brand Perio has launched ‘Perio Kids Zero Gargle Apple Flavor,’ a gargle solution for growing children. Perio Kids Zero Gargle Apple Flavor contains fluoride to prevent cavities and has an effect of removing bad breath. With 10,000 ppm of added xylitol, children can achieve thorough cleaning with just 30 seconds of gargling, as if they had used dental floss. Clinical trials at dental schools confirmed that gargling reduces the plaque index, a cause of cavities, by three times. To ensure safe daily use, it does not contain nine chemical ingredients including methylparaben. Pre-orders for Perio Kids Zero Gargle Apple Flavor began on the 9th of this month on Coupang. During the pre-order period, the product can be purchased at a discounted price.


Ottogi Launches 3 Types of ‘Soup Menu’

Ottogi collaborated with the soup specialty brand SOUPER to introduce three new menu items using Ottogi curry and powdered soup: ‘Curry Soup,’ ‘Christmas Soup,’ and ‘Roasted Corn Soup.’ Curry Soup is a unique curry soup with a rich blend of vegetables and ‘Ottogi Curry Mild Spicy Flavor,’ offering a fragrant yet sweet taste that captivates the palate. Christmas Soup is a seasonal menu featuring roasted miso and smooth Ottogi cream soup topped with pepper jack cheese. Roasted Corn Soup, made with Ottogi corn soup base and crispy corn toppings, offers not only a savory taste but also a unique texture for added enjoyment.

The three collaborative menu items will be available for about three weeks from December 16 to January 5 at all SOUPER stores (Mapo, Gangnam-gu Office, Gwanghwamun).


HiteJinro Expands ‘Terra Light’ Lineup

HiteJinro is launching a new 490ml can of ‘Terra Light’ to broaden consumer choices in the home market. The existing Terra Light lineup includes ▲500ml bottles for entertainment use ▲500ml bottles for home use ▲cans (355ml, 453ml, 500ml) ▲and 1600ml PET bottles. With the new size, the can lineup is now complete with four types: 355ml, 453ml, 490ml, and 500ml. Reflecting the ongoing high inflation, HiteJinro is also offering a 6-can pack of Terra Light 490ml. Compared to the 355ml Terra can, the new pack is approximately 17.4% cheaper per milliliter based on the wholesale price. Launched in July this year, ‘Terra Light’ features one-third fewer calories and zero sugar compared to the original Terra, yet delivers a rich taste and strong refreshing sensation without losing the ‘beer-like’ quality.

SPC B.R. Korea’s Dunkin has released its second winter goods, the ‘Wasabi Bear Pouch 3 types.’ The Wasabi Bear Pouch is the second Wasabi Bear merchandise following the keyring. It is made by replicating the character’s face, known for its distinctive sharp charm. It includes a soft plush doll and a keyring. The three types are the uniquely mint-colored Wasabi Bear, the Dunkin limited edition Chocolate Bear, and the pink-colored Pingsabi Bear released exclusively for Coupang Eats (delivery & pickup). The Wasabi and Chocolate Bear pouches can be purchased at Dunkin stores nationwide for 5,300 KRW with a purchase of 12,000 KRW or more. The event automatically ends when the stock at each store is sold out. The Pingsabi Bear pouch is sold as part of the ‘Eats Party Time Pack’ bundled with six donuts on Coupang Eats.
