Daejeon City Council Budget Committee Approves Next Year's Education Office Budget Plan

Two Projects with Excessive or Unnecessary Budget Reduced by 600 Million Won

The Daejeon Metropolitan Council's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts announced on the 12th that it had reviewed and approved the 2025 Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education Special Account budget bill and the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education fund management plan.

The total budget for 2025, submitted by the Superintendent of Education, amounts to 2,797,084,010,000 won, an increase of 3.3% compared to the previous year. Of the expenditure budget, two projects deemed excessively allocated or unnecessary in terms of fiscal management were reduced by 600 million won.

In addition, the fund management plan was approved as originally proposed, with both income and expenditure plans amounting to 336,656,880,000 won, a 45% decrease compared to the previous year.

The budget bill is scheduled for final approval at the 3rd plenary session on the 13th.
