The ‘School and Community Youth Growth Support Project’ is a public project hosted and organized by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korea Youth Policy Institute. Its purpose is to establish a cooperative system within the community to respond to the complex policy needs of youth and to systematize resources related to youth growth.
Paju City and the Paju Youth Foundation were selected in the March public contest, securing 10 million KRW in national funding. Until last month, they have been carrying out projects such as ▲policy demand surveys ▲status tables of youth growth resources ▲creation of new youth facilities ▲hosting youth policy forums, and were honored as an outstanding local government in recognition of these achievements.
Kim Su-tae, Director of the Youth Department, stated, “As Paju City achieves various results in the youth sector this year, we will spare no support to ensure that policies can be realized,” and added, “We ask for the continued interest of not only youth but also all related organizations and parents that make up the local community.”
Meanwhile, Paju City’s representative youth participation organization, the ‘Paju Youth Participation Committee,’ was selected as the ‘2024 Outstanding Youth Participation Committee’ in November and received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award.
