Seoul District Mayors Take Lead in Resolving Emergency Economic Issues

Seoul District Mayors Association Chair Lee Pil-hyung Urges 'Swift Promotion of Local Economic Priority Projects'
"Important Role of Local Governments to Prevent Increased Hardship for Citizens in Emergency Situations"

Lee Pil-hyung, Chairman of the Seoul District Mayors' Council and Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, attended the Seoul City-25 District Emergency Economic Meeting held at the Seoul City Hall Planning Situation Room on the 12th.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Lee mentioned the desperate voices of small business owners he heard on site, stating, "Each autonomous district must promptly implement support measures for small business owners and local economic projects."

He also emphasized the promotion of measures to revitalize the local economy, including ▲ the swift implementation of local economic projects ▲ early execution of next year's budget in the first half of the year ▲ strengthening administrative and financial support for small business owners and resolving funding difficulties ▲ support for vulnerable groups and management of local prices.

Chairman Lee said, "We will collect difficulties caused by the domestic demand slump from each district and prepare countermeasures," and urged, "Seoul City should actively strive to reflect each district's proposals in policies."
