Hwaseong-si Holds Meeting with 8 Major Investment Companies

Jung Myung-geun Mayor "Will Continue Partnership with Active Cooperation"

Major companies that have made large-scale investments in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province gathered in one place to strengthen public-private partnerships.

On the 12th, Hwaseong City held a meeting at Lavide Resort with eight semiconductor, bio, and future car companies that invested more than 100 billion won to build partnerships.

Representatives and executives from ASM, ASML, Kia Autoland Hwaseong, Daewoong Pharmaceutical, Daewoong Bio, Tokyo Electron Korea, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Motor·Kia Technology Research Center attended the meeting.

At the event, Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun presented plaques of appreciation to these companies. Mayor Jeong shared domestic and international investment trends with the attendees and listened to corporate difficulties and suggestions. Based on the discussions at the meeting, the city plans to establish investment attraction strategies and improve the investment environment for companies.

The city plans to actively attract companies in key industries by region, including ▲the semiconductor mega cluster along the Gyeongbu line connecting Suwon, Hwaseong, and Yongin ▲the K-Future Car Valley linking Gwangmyeong, Hwaseong, and Pyeongtaek ▲and the K-Bio Belt connecting Incheon Songdo, Hwaseong, and Pangyo.

Mayor Jeong said, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that Hwaseong City and companies walk together and achieve a win-win through continuous and active partnership building."

Meanwhile, during the 8th term of the elected government, Hwaseong City pledged to attract 20 trillion won in investments during Mayor Jeong’s term, and as of the end of November, it has attracted 12.4048 trillion won in investments.
