Over 1 Million Pre-Registrations Before Launch... Anticipation for Success
DevSisters has officially launched 'Cookie Run India,' marking its full-scale entry into the Indian market.
DevSisters announced on the 12th that the official service for Cookie Run India began on the afternoon of the 11th (Korean time). Over 1 million users participated in the pre-registration prior to the launch.
Cookie Run is a mobile running game that anyone can easily and lightly enjoy with simple jump and slide controls. The company has prepared to enter the local market, expecting Cookie Run's casual gameplay experience and low system requirements to be effective in India’s emerging mobile-centric gaming environment.
To coincide with the launch, the company introduced various locally customized content for Indian users. First, they revealed two India-original cookies themed around traditional Indian desserts: ‘Gulab Jamun Cookie,’ who showcases dance skills inspired by Indian movies, and ‘Kaju Katli Cookie,’ a prince character who hides his identity.
Additionally, new content was applied, including ▲a lobby with an Indian palace background where golden coins pour down ▲a map designed using symbols from Indian mythology ▲and a mode called ‘Event Run,’ where players compete by running without cookie skills and collecting coins. Through social features, rankings are provided from friends’ leaderboards to regional and nationwide Indian rankings, enhancing the fun of growth and competition.
Along with the launch of Cookie Run India, DevSisters also released a promotional video featuring the famous Indian professional wrestler ‘The Great Khali.’ The video combines India’s unique cheerful sensibility with the core experience of the game, ‘Run.’ The company expects to generate widespread public interest in Cookie Run India through various social media channels.
A DevSisters representative said, "We will continue the service aiming to secure a diverse user base in the continuously growing Indian market."
