Mayor Baek Young-hyun: "Regional Customized Integrated Support Project as a Stepping Stone... Will Promote with a Sense of Urgency"
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 11th that it has been selected for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "2025 Medical-Care Integrated Support Technology Support Pilot Project."
The Ministry of Health and Welfare has been promoting the Medical-Care Integrated Support Technology Support public contest project since 2024 to ensure the stable implementation of the nationwide integrated support project.
The integrated support project is a program that provides medical, nursing, welfare, and housing services in an integrated manner so that citizens in need of care can continue independent living.
With the selection for the technology support pilot project, Pocheon City will receive technical support such as exemption from the use of organization and system (information), priority selection for pilot projects, establishment of a medical-care service linkage system, and various education and consulting for coordination and cooperation.
In addition, dedicated personnel will be assigned to the Pocheon branch of the National Health Insurance Service to support case management, including information utilization and investigation support for long-term care home benefit recipients and unrecognized persons.
Pocheon City views this pilot project selection as an important stepping stone to develop an integrated care support project model tailored to the characteristics of the region.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, "The selection for this technology support pilot project will serve as a foundation to promote a region-customized integrated support project suitable for Pocheon's increasing medical and care demands," adding, "We will also accelerate the planning for the main project while carrying out the pilot project."
