On the 11th, Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, held a briefing at City Hall and stated that the redevelopment focuses on two main points.

Second, the remaining semi-industrial areas will undergo significant deregulation, allowing various types of buildings and being reorganized into future-oriented industrial hubs. Land consolidation development will be possible, and building heights will be changed to a minimum of 16 floors or more. Additionally, various facilities such as apartments, cultural facilities, and small officetels will be introduced, with incentives provided to support this development.

Mayor Hong expressed his ambitious vision, saying, “We will transform the semi-industrial area along Changwon-daero into a future innovation space that can accommodate diverse demands such as digital and cultural needs, making it a forward base to strengthen the sustainability of the Changwon National Industrial Complex.”

Meanwhile, Changwon City plans to strengthen the competitiveness of the Changwon National Industrial Complex through this redevelopment and create an innovative space where industry and culture converge.
