Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation, the Craft Trend Fair is in its 19th year this year and is the largest and most prestigious craft exhibition in Korea. Yeoju City, selected as a participating institution for the fourth consecutive time, will directly operate the Yeoju ceramic joint brand ‘Nanal_NANAL’ promotional booth, supporting the promotion and new market development of local ceramic companies.

In particular, Yeoju City plans to introduce new products developed over the past year for the first time at this fair.

The first product is the microwave ceramic rice cooker ‘Hankki Sotbap’ designed to promote the consumption of ‘Hankkitoktok,’ a washed rice brand endorsed by the Daewangnim label. Inspired by the traditional cauldron rice cooked by mothers in childhood, this product links Yeoju’s representative specialty rice with ceramics. After 12 prototype development processes, it was designed beautifully with healthy materials so that delicious rice can be easily cooked in the microwave in just 20 minutes.

The second product is the Yeoju Four Seasons set, consisting of 11 types including cups, bowls, soup bowls, noodle bowls, and plates that capture Yeoju’s nature and seasons. Produced by three companies?Doheon Workshop, Tokijangi, and Hanul Design?these tableware pieces offer harmonious dining regardless of the food served, proposing new enjoyment on the dining table through unprecedented colors, textures, and designs.

Lastly, the results of the new product development support project for Yeoju ceramic companies such as Gamagongbang, Gieokdojagi, Doyuga, Baekje Ceramic Research Institute, Alcheon Ceramics, Yeongjuheon Ceramics, Im Uiseop Ceramic Workshop, Jeungteo Kiln, and Heuknae Kiln will also be introduced.

The Yeoju promotional booth is curated by cultural administrator An Junhyung, who serves as the artistic director. Under the theme ‘Variety of Pleasures,’ the booth is designed so that each new product from Nanal stands out individually while harmonizing to create an interesting cluster. To encompass the diverse Yeoju ceramics, the booth is styled based on the pure white of white porcelain with several point colors, expressing the hope that visitors will enjoy the pleasure of using ceramic tableware.

A city official stated, “Yeoju City plays a solid supporting role by widely promoting Yeoju ceramics, a major industry of the city, and supporting new market development,” adding, “We will continue to promote Yeoju’s culture, arts, and tourism domestically and internationally through ceramics, a valuable local asset.”

For inquiries about the exhibition and product purchases, information can be obtained by phone. Various ‘Nanal_NANAL’ products can also be found on the official website, Naver Smart Store Art Window, and Instagram.
