On the 13th, a forum for R&D collaboration and actionable strategy development in the cosmetics industry sector
Discussing the future of the cosmetics industry through digital transformation and exploring ways to strengthen regional competitiveness
The Busan Institute of Science and Technology Education Promotion (BISTEP) will hold the "7th Busan Future Technology Innovation Forum" at 3 p.m. on the 13th at the Avani Central Hotel Busan.
This forum is organized under the theme "Digital Innovation Strategy for Busan's Cosmetics Industry" to explore ways for Busan's cosmetics industry to discover new growth engines and strengthen competitiveness through digital transformation.
The keynote presentation will be delivered by Cho Dong-hoon, Director of the Gyeongbuk Bio Industry Research Institute, focusing on "Digital Transformation and the Future of the Global Cosmetics Industry," sharing the impact of digital technology on the global cosmetics industry and successful cases. Following this, Professor Lee Jin-tae of the Department of Cosmetics at Kyungsung University will introduce planning strategies and key tasks under the theme "Vision and Strategy for the Digital Transformation of Busan's Cosmetics Industry."
In the panel discussion that follows, Professor Yesak-gyu of Seoul National University will serve as the chair, with participation from Professor Kim Ae-kyung of Dongmyung University, Director Lee Kang-woo of the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology Planning and Evaluation, Center Director Lee Chang-hyun of the Korea Testing & Research Institute, Professor Jang Young-ah of Daegu Haany University, Director Hong Jin-gi of the Regional Industry Location Research Institute, and Planning Director Hong Heon-woo of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute. Experts from various fields will discuss digital innovation strategies from diverse perspectives, and it is expected that concrete and practical execution strategies and innovative ideas will be presented.
Kim Young-bu, Director of BISTEP, stated, "Busan is a city with high potential to integrate digital technology by utilizing natural resource-based materials," adding, "We hope that participants will discuss and collaborate to derive concrete solutions that can contribute to the development of the regional industry."
