This special lecture invited professional instructors to introduce types and recent cases of telecommunication financial fraud and provided practical countermeasures to prevent them. The session lasted about two hours and offered various tips and information that participants could use effectively in their daily lives. It received great responses by specifically explaining how to respond immediately when voice phishing occurs and the procedures to minimize damage.
The first lecture was held on the 14th of last month at the Single-Person Household Support Center located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Participants reaffirmed the importance of preventing voice phishing through the training. The second lecture took place the day before at the Single-Person Household Support Center in Gangnam-gu, providing practical help to local residents. In particular, by cooperating with each regional center, customized educational programs considering the characteristics of single-person households were provided to maximize the educational effect.
Starting with this special lecture, LG Uplus plans to expand to more regions in the future. It intends to strengthen financial fraud prevention campaigns covering not only single-person households but all generations and social classes.
LG Uplus is exploring various measures to create a safe communication environment for its customers. It is actively utilizing new technologies such as the voice phishing detection feature embedded in 'ixi-O,' launched last month, and the ixi spam filter that reduces illegal spam message transmissions on communication networks.
