Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Team Launches Full-Scale Korea-Peru Smart Manufacturing Innovation Exchange and Cooperation

The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group, affiliated with the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), held the "Korea-Peru Manufacturing Innovation Exchange and Cooperation Seminar" on the 10th.

This seminar was held as one of the main events during the visit of a Peruvian government delegation consisting of eight members, including the Ministry of Production of Peru, the Prime Minister's Office, UNDP Peru officials, the Governor of Chachapoyas, and the Mayor of San Luis District in Lima, who came to Korea at the invitation of the UNDP Seoul Policy Center.

The Promotion Group introduced Korea's smart manufacturing innovation policies to support Peru's successful digital transformation and discussed cooperation plans between Korea and Peru, including ▲smart factory ODA projects ▲international cooperation forums ▲technology exchange meetings for smart factory suppliers.

Additionally, the Peruvian government delegation visited a smart factory (Shinsung ENG located in Yongin) that has created exemplary cases through digital transformation, experiencing the manufacturing environment and level of smartization of Korean companies.

An Kwang-hyun, head of the Promotion Group, stated, "We hope this will be an opportunity to share Korea's government support policies and know-how on digital transformation with Peru, establish a cooperative foundation, and continuously exchange opportunities."
