Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) will hold the ‘2024 Apartment Residents’ Representative Meeting Operation and Ethics Training’ on December 16th at the audiovisual room on the 4th floor of Mapo-gu Office for members of the apartment residents’ representative meetings and management entities.
This training is a legal obligation under the Apartment Management Act, requiring members of the residents’ representative meetings to complete 4 hours annually. It is designed to enhance members’ capabilities and promote transparent apartment management and efficient operation.
The training will focus on practical matters and cover various fields.
It will address laws and guidelines necessary for apartment management and operation, management practices including complaint cases, and methods for establishing and adjusting long-term repair plans.
Additionally, it will include timely and practical topics such as fire safety, management of residents’ shared facilities, and prevention education against abuse by security guards, aiming to strengthen diverse management capabilities.
Particularly, the training emphasizes fostering a transparent apartment operation culture through cooperation between management entities and residents’ representative meetings, securing residents’ trust.
The training will begin with the residents’ representative meetings and management entities jointly reading a self-purification resolution declaration for apartments, reaffirming their commitment to creating premium apartments.
The lecture will be delivered by Lee Gi-nam, director of the Future Housing Culture Research Institute and a specialist instructor in residents’ representative meeting operation training, who will provide practical and detailed management and operation know-how.
Following this, Mapo Fire Station and the Workers’ Comprehensive Support Center will emphasize the importance of creating a safe and respectful community through fire safety education and prevention education against abuse by security guards, respectively.
This training is expected to be an opportunity for members of the residents’ representative meetings and management entities to attend together, enhancing practical cooperation and mutual understanding.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, “I hope this training will be practically helpful in resolving complaints arising during apartment management and clarifying questions about legal interpretations. Given the recent heightened interest in safety due to fires and electric vehicle-related accidents, I hope this will be a valuable time to learn how to prevent and respond to such incidents. We will continue to strive to create a safe and trustworthy residential environment for our residents.”
