Ulju-gun Signs Agreement to Promote Child Rights and Create Child-Friendly City

Ulju-gun, Ulsan Office of Education, Ulju Police Station, and 4 Organizations Including Save the Children Eastern Regional Headquarters

On the 10th, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, signed a business agreement with the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education, Ulsan Ulju Police Station, and Save the Children Eastern Regional Headquarters to promote the creation of a child-friendly city in Ulju-gun and the enhancement of children's rights.


This agreement was pursued based on the shared values and objectives of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child among Ulju-gun and the partner organizations, aiming to create a more livable, child-friendly local community.


According to the detailed agreement items by institution, △ Ulju-gun will support activities to promote children's rights by the partner organizations and efforts to spread child-friendly policies △ Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education will cooperate in children's rights education projects and participation activities △ Ulju Police Station will create a safe environment for children △ Save the Children Eastern Regional Headquarters will conduct children's rights education for children and residents and play a role in spreading education within the region.


An official from Ulju-gun stated, “Starting with the enactment of the ordinance on the creation of a child-friendly city in Ulju-gun last year, we are gradually preparing for certification as a child-friendly city through a business agreement with the UNICEF Korea Committee and the promotion of research projects for the creation of a child-friendly city.” He added, “We will accelerate the child-friendly city creation projects through this agreement.”
