Jeonnam Trade Day Event... 38 Locations Honored with Export Tower and Export Awards

Jeonnam Province Export Awards Presented to Wando Mulsan English Cooperative Corporation and Others

The 2024 Jeonnam Trade Day event was held on the 10th at Hotel Hyundai Vira Han Mokpo in Yeongam, where 38 companies, including IYDW KHP Co., Ltd. and Daechang Food Co., Ltd., were honored with export towers and export awards.

About 100 people attended the event, including Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province; Choi Eun-mo, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Enterprise Council; Lee Dong-won, Head of the Korea Trade Association Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters; and Lee Sung-hee, Director of the Jeonnam Small and Medium Business Job and Economy Promotion Agency.

A total of 31 companies received export towers. ▲The $70 million tower was awarded to IYDW KHP Co., Ltd. and Daechang Food Co., Ltd. ▲The $50 million tower went to Gwangyang Aluminum Co., Ltd. ▲The $20 million tower was awarded to Hanseong Food Agricultural Cooperative Corporation and Garimi Co., Ltd. ▲The $10 million tower went to M.E.C Co., Ltd., Sweco Jinkwang Co., Ltd., Seonil Trading Co., Ltd., and Pure Seafood Co., Ltd. ▲The $7 million tower was awarded to Yeollim Food Co., Ltd., Haenong Co., Ltd., SC Co., Ltd., Myungil Co., Ltd., and Dasol Agricultural Corporation. ▲The $5 million tower went to DDK Co., Ltd. ▲The $3 million tower was awarded to Seongwon Co., Ltd., LK Ventures Co., Ltd., Two K Corporation Co., Ltd., Seongmun Co., Ltd., and Matna Food Co., Ltd. ▲The $2 million tower went to Haecho Agricultural Corporation, Biocorp Co., Ltd., Youngshin Chemical Co., Ltd., Haemiro Co., Ltd., Pancos Co., Ltd., Eunbit Agricultural Corporation, and Daeryuk Food Co., Ltd. ▲The $1 million tower was awarded to Sail Food Agricultural Corporation, Jibon Cosmetic Co., Ltd., DMT Co., Ltd., and Wando Mom Agricultural Cooperative Corporation.

The Jeonnam Province Export Award for companies contributing to export expansion was given to Wando Food Agricultural Cooperative Corporation for the grand prize; the excellence award went to Haesong Food Agricultural Corporation and Bonggang Eco-friendly Agricultural Cooperative Corporation; and the encouragement award was given to Oseong Fisheries, EN Tech Co., Ltd., Damwoo Agricultural Corporation, and Ttangkkeut Hwangto Eco-friendly Agricultural Cooperative Corporation.

The Jeonnam Governor’s Commendation was awarded to Kang Sung-eun, Manager of the Korea Trade Association Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters; Heo Seung-hoe, Manager of the Small and Medium Business Corporation Jeonnam Regional Headquarters; Kim Tae-eun, Officer of Suncheon City; Kim Kyung-soo, Manager of Haenong Co., Ltd.; Kim Sang-yong, Executive Director of Kyunghyang Industry Co., Ltd.; Baek Sun-mi, Manager of Wando Food Agricultural Cooperative Corporation; and Jung Chae-yoon, Deputy Manager of Haesung International Co., Ltd.

Government awards included the Presidential Citation awarded to Hong Seok-han, Senior Manager of HD Hyundai Samho Co., Ltd.; Lee Kyung-mook, employee; and Lee Na-mi, CEO of Hyunnong Fresh Agricultural Corporation. The Prime Minister’s Citation was awarded to Kim Jung-chul, Manager of Daechang Food Co., Ltd., and Park Hae-saeng, Executive Director of S.F.C Co., Ltd. The Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Citation was awarded to Park Min-ho, Deputy General Manager of Daechang Food Co., Ltd.; Lee Chang-min, CEO of DDK Co., Ltd.; Noh Mi-sook, CEO of Matna Food Co., Ltd.; Seo Soo-il, CEO of Eunbit Agricultural Corporation; Cha Yoo-jung, Deputy Manager of Gwangyang Horticultural Agricultural Export Logistics Center; Yang Kyung-don, CEO of Hyupsung Hisco Co., Ltd.; Lee Ma-tae, Chairman of KMT Group; and the Korea Trade Association Chairman’s Citation was awarded to Park Sung-hoon, Senior Manager of Daehan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
