The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (Director Park Jong-gil) held the 2024 Cheong (淸) Oreum Festival ‘all-BARO’ with the participation of all employees to ‘enhance understanding of the value of integrity and create a positive integrity organizational culture through communication,’ and conducted an awards ceremony for outstanding cases.

‘all-BARO’ was selected through an employee contest, meaning to ‘correctly grasp’ the meaning of integrity and reflect on the proper meaning of integrity, as well as signifying that the corporation’s integrity character ‘BARO’ corrects all (all) improper integrity.
From September 9 to October 31, all employees were encouraged to participate in three program areas using the corporation’s key integrity keywords such as fairness, trust, personal information protection, and abuse of power: ① all-BARO writing contest (acrostic poems, compliment postcards) ② all-BARO contest (integrity BI and slogans) ③ all-BARO spreading challenge (integrity activity certification challenge).
A total of 3,275 entries were received and evaluated based on topic relevance, originality, applicability, and completeness, with two individual awards and two affiliated institution awards finally selected. Additionally, to encourage easy and fun participation, an event was held to give participants integrity character goods, which attracted many participants. The submitted works such as short videos and posters, along with integrity activity cases, will be shared with all employees to expand the integrity culture within the organization.
Standing Auditor Kim Dae-won said, “Integrity must be built into a positive organizational culture through employee participation to ensure sustainability. We will further strengthen integrity communication among employees to stably promote field-centered integrity policies and continuously strive to create a Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service that all citizens can feel is honest.”
Auditor Kim is continuously working to build a positive integrity organizational culture together with employees by visiting institutions and employees nationwide to communicate and empathize through initiatives such as the ‘Visiting Integrity Promotion Headquarters,’ ‘Integrity and Anti-Corruption 1.0 Day,’ and creating the integrity character ‘BARO’ and emoticons to raise integrity awareness.
