On the 10th, Park Hyo-shin released the prelude video for his new single ‘HERO (Hiero),’ which will be released on various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 16th, on his official SNS.

The video posted that day visualizes the message of sacrifice and love contained in the song ‘HERO (Hiero)’ through the relationship between a father and daughter, under the theme of ‘everyday heroes.’

At the beginning of the video, a child deeply lost in thought appears, drawing attention. After completing a drawing, the child holds it close and looks out the window waiting for their father. Then, the father returns home late from work in the evening, and the scene shows him looking at the child who has fallen asleep from exhaustion while waiting, touching the hearts of viewers.

In the following scene, the next morning, the father finishes preparing for work and heads out into the chilly dawn air. As he puts earphones in his ears, part of the song ‘HERO (Hiero)’ plays, and he sticks a note saying “I want to be your Hero” that he wrote on the child’s drawing, warmly touching the hearts of viewers.

The single ‘HERO’ is the signal fire for his 8th full-length album. Park Hyo-shin participated not only in singing but also in writing lyrics, composing, and arranging this album. It was tied up as the theme song for the movie ‘Firefighter,’ which was released on the 4th.

This is Park Hyo-shin’s first new song release in five years. His last full album was the 7th full-length album ‘I am A Dreamer’ in October 2016, making it eight years ago. The 8th album is expected to be released in the first half of next year.

His agency, Hubig Haro, stated, “We postponed the scheduled release date several times and watched the situation with a heavy heart. Nevertheless, we thought it would be better not to delay any longer if this song could bring even a small comfort and hope to our hearts, so we decided to release it.”

Ahead of his comeback, Park Hyo-shin debuted at No. 99 on the US Billboard main singles chart ‘Hot 100’ on the 14th with the digital single ‘Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN),’ a collaboration with BTS member V. This marks Park Hyo-shin’s first entry on this chart in his 25-year career.
