Pocheon City Starts Anew with Population Policy Committee... "Collaborating with Private Experts to Develop Policies"

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 10th that it held an appointment ceremony for the Population Policy Committee at the city administration meeting room on the 9th.

The appointments were arranged to incorporate flexible thinking and diverse perspectives from private experts into policies, aiming to seek creative and practical population policies suited to Pocheon's local realities.

At the event, appointment certificates were presented to eight appointed committee members, followed by in-depth discussions related to Pocheon's population policy direction for 2025.

The Pocheon Population Policy Committee, composed of experts from various fields, will begin full-scale activities starting in 2025.

Through cooperation with experts, the committee plans to establish effective policies, continuously discuss implementation plans, resolve Pocheon's population issues, and strive to create a better urban environment.

Deputy Mayor Kim Jong-hoon stated, “Population issues cannot be resolved by the efforts of a single department alone; they are significant challenges requiring public-private cooperation,” adding, “We hope that this new appointment will serve as an opportunity to jointly consider and implement policies suited to Pocheon's realities, thereby strengthening Pocheon's future competitiveness.”
