Hamyang-gun and Seongsim Hospital Hold Agreement Ceremony for Designation as a Medical Institution Dedicated to Child Abuse Cases

Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 10th that it has designated Hamyang Seongsim Hospital as a dedicated medical institution for child abuse and signed an agreement to operate the "Saessak Jikimi Hospital."

The "Saessak Jikimi Hospital" is designated to provide prompt examinations, treatment, and counseling to children in need of medical protection, to identify children at risk early, and to actively respond through medical consultation and child protection.

At the signing ceremony, Hamyang County and Hamyang Seongsim Hospital promised to cooperate mutually in preventing and responding to child abuse, and to establish a collaborative system for future joint projects.

County Governor Jin Byeong-yeong expressed at the ceremony, "We deeply appreciate Seongsim Hospital's interest and cooperation for abused children," and added, "Through an organic medical cooperation system with the Saessak Jikimi Hospital, we will do our best to support abused children and identify children at risk."

Through this agreement, Hamyang County plans to further strengthen the medical foundation for preventing child abuse and protecting abused children, and actively work on building child welfare and safety nets within the region.
