Cheonan City Named Excellent Institution for Proactive Administration in Chungnam Province for Three Consecutive Years

Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 10th that it has been selected as an Excellent Institution for Active Administration by Chungnam Province for three consecutive years.

Chungnam Province annually evaluates the 15 cities and counties, as well as public institutions, on their efforts to promote active administration, the selection of outstanding public officials, and their own initiatives for active administration.

The city received excellent evaluations in all areas and achieved the feat of being selected as an excellent institution for three consecutive years since 2022.

This year, the city set its vision as promoting citizen-centered active administration and selected key tasks for active administration. In the process of selecting outstanding public officials, citizen voting was introduced to directly reflect citizens' opinions, thereby enhancing both trust in and the tangible impact of administration.

The city was also recognized for producing and promoting content such as card news and webtoons featuring these examples of active administration, thus contributing to the spread of an active administration culture.

Park Sangdon, Mayor of Cheonan, said, "This selection is the result of all Cheonan City public officials actively performing their duties for the citizens," and added, "We will continue to create changes that citizens can truly feel with a creative and challenging attitude."
