Signing of Business Agreement for AI Autonomous Manufacturing Transition and More
Ulsan City will hold the "8th Ulsan City-Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) Tech Day" at 3 p.m. on the 10th on the 2nd floor of the Shipbuilding and Marine High-Tech Town (Techno Industrial Complex, Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency Auditorium).
This event has been held since 2017 to share the results of joint research and development between Ulsan City and ETRI and to strengthen the manufacturing competitiveness of large, medium, and small enterprises through technology transfer.
This event will be conducted as a technology presentation and business agreement ceremony for the AI autonomous manufacturing transition of the main industries.
About 100 officials, including Ahn Hyo-dae, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, SK Energy, Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency, Ulsan Technopark, Ulsan University, and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, will attend to discuss cooperation plans.
At the business agreement ceremony, six institutions and companies, including Ulsan City, Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Ulsan Information Industry Promotion Agency, Ulsan Technopark, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and SK Energy, will participate.
The agreement involves establishing a joint cooperation system for the AI autonomous manufacturing transition of Ulsan’s main industries and cooperating to revitalize the local AI autonomous manufacturing industry.
The event will also feature individual consultations and exhibitions introducing the transfer plans of AI-based advanced technologies for main industries owned by ETRI to small and medium-sized enterprises in the Ulsan region.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “The transition to AI autonomous manufacturing is essential for Ulsan to remain the center of the main manufacturing industry in the future. Through this event, we will strengthen industry-academia-research cooperation and continuously support related industries to ensure that the innovative technologies demonstrated can be effectively applied in industrial sites.”
