Gangwon Yeongwol-gun Launches Regular Subscription Service for Agricultural 'Package Products'

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Yeongwol-gun (Governor Choi Myeong-seo) announced on the 10th that they have developed a subscription package product that allows customers to receive traditional fermented sauces and seasonal agricultural specialties from Yeongwol regularly, and have started recruiting subscribers on the Naver Smart Store ‘Donggangae Nongbu Market’.

The subscription package product consists of fermented sauce processed products produced and made in Yeongwol, as well as seasonal agricultural products such as tomatoes, potatoes, and corn. The fermented sauce processed products were developed through the Yeongwol Rural New Vitality Plus project promoted by Yeongwol-gun since 2021, and the seasonal agricultural products are fresh specialties of Yeongwol.

The Yeongwol package subscription is available monthly or bimonthly, allowing consumers to regularly receive major agricultural products from Yeongwol. Priced at around 30,000 KRW, which is 20% cheaper than the market price, and composed of agricultural products preferred by households, it is expected to have high satisfaction.

In particular, starting from the 10th, the first 300 customers will receive a welcome box worth about 50,000 KRW, consisting of excellent fermented sauce foods from Yeongwol such as cheonggukjang, soy sauce, doenjang, gochujang, and doenjang blocks, for 30,000 KRW, along with a gift of 2kg of pesticide-free rice as part of the opening commemorative event.

Park Su-yeon, head of the Agricultural Food Distribution Division of Yeongwol-gun, said, “The Yeongteukhan subscription product, composed of various agricultural products produced in Yeongwol by season and theme, will provide an easier opportunity to access and experience Yeongwol’s agricultural products and fermented sauce foods, and we will continue to offer product compositions that satisfy consumers.”
