Ulsan City Launches 'Warmth Sharing Promotion Headquarters'... Leading a Warm Korea

Participation of 81 Organizations Including Related Agencies, Companies, and Volunteer Groups

Ulsan City will hold the launch ceremony of the ‘Ulsan City Warmth Sharing Promotion Headquarters’ at 3 p.m. on the 10th in the main auditorium on the 2nd floor of the City Hall main building to foster a culture of volunteering and sharing.

‘Warmth Sharing’ carries the meaning of sharing the warmth in the hearts of all citizens with neighbors in various ways to create a warm Republic of Korea.

About 500 representatives from 81 participating organizations and groups, including Ulsan City, five districts and counties, the Volunteer Center, the Ulsan branch of the Korean Red Cross, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motor Company, Chunhae Health University, and UBC Ulsan Broadcasting, will attend the launch ceremony.

Ulsan City plans to promote the Warmth Sharing campaign to expand volunteer work, donations, and charity activities, which are individually conducted by each institution and organization, into a citywide movement with a unified message and slogan.

At the launch ceremony, attendees will perform the “Warmth Sharing, Yes! As Expected! Ulsan!” performance to mark the start of the campaign.

The main activities of the Warmth Sharing campaign include △participation in year-end and New Year fundraising to help neighbors △sharing supplies for a warm winter △visiting the elderly and checking on neighbors △ensuring safety in daily life.

Ulsan City will cooperate with the Volunteer Center to support the activities of organizations and companies, encourage participation from public institutions, private organizations, and businesses, and request districts and counties to form their own promotion headquarters to spread the culture of sharing and volunteering throughout Ulsan.

Organizations or citizens interested in Warmth Sharing activities can inquire at the Ulsan City Autonomous Administration Division Volunteer Center to participate in the activities.

Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan City, said, “I ask for your great interest and participation so that we can deliver warm warmth to neighbors in need and solve the problems our society faces,” adding, “I hope Ulsan becomes a city where all citizens are always happy and full of warmth.”
