Support for CES Participation, Booth Operation Support for 10 Companies
Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will participate in the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10 next year with 10 companies. Among them, 4 companies won Innovation Awards, proving the technological capabilities of Gangnam-gu startups.
The Innovation Award is a prestigious award given annually at CES to companies that showcase innovative technologies and products. It holds great significance as it recognizes the technological capabilities of the awarded companies in the global market while providing a stepping stone for overseas expansion. The awarded companies are Braindec (CEO Jeong Yeoreum), IPinLabs (CEO Yoo Jaehyun), MTS Company (CEO Jeong Heewon), and Giro (CEOs Lee Jaeseok and Hwang Gilhwan), totaling four companies.
Braindec won the Innovation Award in the Accessibility and AgeTech categories with ‘BLING,’ a portable voice converter for people with speech disabilities. IPinLabs received the award in the Industrial Equipment and Machinery category with ‘BPIN,’ a deep learning-based indoor and outdoor location monitoring platform.
MTS Company was recognized for its technological prowess by winning the AI category with ‘AI Doc,’ an AI software for cancer diagnosis prediction. Giro earned the honor of winning simultaneously in two categories?Content & Entertainment and Image?with its stock footage production platform ‘Dropshot Explorer.’
In addition, six other companies?Geeksoft (CEO Lee Seongwook), Green Whale Global (CEO Yoon Taekyun), MarkCloud (CEO Jeong Sangil), VisionSpace (CEO Choi Wonseok), EL Electric (CEO Park Jeonggeun), and EasyTask (CEO Jeon Hyejin)?will participate, making a total of 10 companies exhibiting at the Gangnam Pavilion.
The district officially launched the CES participation support project this year. Starting with recruiting participating companies in June and July, it provided Innovation Award consulting and exhibition participation training from August. On the 29th of last month, a launch ceremony for the Seoul Integrated Pavilion, involving Gangnam-gu and 15 organizations, was held at Sogang University’s Jeong Hasang Hall. The district supports exhibition booth operations, business matching, and IR pitching at the expo site, and through a university student supporter program, matched 10 Sogang University students one-on-one with companies to assist with business activities on-site.
District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “Winning the CES Innovation Award is an important indicator that proves the excellence of company products and enhances brand value. Gangnam-gu, as Korea’s definitive Silicon Valley, will provide multifaceted support so that companies can grow in the global market and establish a foundation to become world-class enterprises.”
