Samcheok City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Park Sang-su) announced on the 10th that the Samcheok Tourism and Culture Foundation will operate and sell the Samcheok Tour Pass "Cheokcheok Pass," a mobile integrated discount ticket linking various tourist attractions, restaurants, and cafes, starting from the 10th.

The Tour Pass is a product that allows users to utilize bundled tickets for admission to affiliated local tourist attractions, restaurants, and cafes, offered for free or at discounted prices. By purchasing the Samcheok Tour Pass called "Thumbs Up! Samcheok! Cheokcheok Pass" (hereafter Cheokcheok Pass), travelers can enjoy a cost-effective and fulfilling trip in Samcheok, which is why it is named Cheokcheok Pass.

The Samcheok Tour Pass "Cheokcheok Pass" allows users to visit major tourist attractions in Samcheok (Gagok Sulfur Hot Springs, Gagok Foot Bath Experience Center, Samcheok Rail Bike, Surobuin Heonhwa Park, Haesindang Park) at discounted prices for residents, while the Marine Cable Car, Dogye Glass & Wood Land, Isabu Dokdo Memorial Hall, and Hwansun Cave are free of charge. Additionally, various restaurants and cafes near major tourist sites offer discounts and free benefits, making it advantageous for planning travel routes.

In particular, to commemorate the opening of the Donghae Line connecting Samcheok and Pohang, the Cheokcheok Pass will be sold at a special price for one month until January 9, with a 24-hour pass priced at 17,900 KRW and a 48-hour pass at 19,900 KRW. Afterward, the prices will return to the original rates of 19,900 KRW for the 24-hour pass and 21,900 KRW for the 48-hour pass.

A representative of the Samcheok Tourism and Culture Foundation said, "With just one Cheokcheok Pass, Samcheok tourism can be smoothly achieved, and we hope it will be recognized as Samcheok’s representative tourism product." They added, "With the opening of the Donghae Line, we will actively promote tourism in the Busan-Yeongnam area to attract many tourists and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."

Meanwhile, the Samcheok Tourism and Culture Foundation plans to continuously expand affiliated stores such as restaurants and cafes wishing to participate in the Cheokcheok Pass program.
