Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will participate in ‘CES 2025,’ held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10 next year.
CES is the world’s largest global IT exhibition organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in the United States. CES 2024, held earlier this year, attracted over 4,300 companies and 130,000 visitors from around the world.
At the CES 2025 startup exhibition hall ‘Eureka Park,’ a joint pavilion called ‘Seoul Integrated Pavilion’ will be operated, featuring 16 organizations related to the startup ecosystem and 104 startups based in Seoul.
The district will participate in CES for the second consecutive year in 2024. Ten startups located in Gwanak S Valley will showcase innovative technologies and products at the ‘Seoul Integrated Pavilion.’
At CES 2025, four companies based in Gwanak S Valley received five innovation awards. Following the Best Innovation Award in 2022 and the Innovation Award in 2024, Gwanak S Valley has once again proven its capabilities as a ‘global hub of innovative technology’ by receiving international recognition.
‘Rootfinders’ received high praise in the ‘Accessibility & AgeTech’ category for its multimedia platform for the visually impaired, ‘EasyPlus.’
‘Metafarmers’ won an award in the ‘Food & AgTech’ category by presenting ‘Metafarmer,’ an AI robot-based agricultural automation solution.
‘Seomjae’ was also recognized for innovative technology in the ‘Mobile Devices, Accessories & Apps’ category with its AI-based real-time learning management program ‘CoachON.’
‘NationA’ earned the honor of innovation awards in the ‘Metaverse’ category for both products, ‘Neuroid Next’ and ‘Hey.D,’ which utilize generative AI technology and 3D foundation models.
In addition to the award-winning companies, other companies participating in the Gwanak S Valley pavilion include ▲Shining Lab (AI-based music production platform ‘SELPOP’) ▲AP Green (low-temperature plasma-based hydrogen production facility) ▲Mandarin Robotics (robotics and AI-based cooking robot solutions ‘Robotic Wok’ and ‘Robotic Sauce Maker’) ▲Pionoid (robot application development framework and Open API platform) ▲912 Communication (AI-based voice data security solution ‘SAVO’) ▲Onout (AI-based content fashion outfit analysis and content shopping platform ‘Onwear’) ▲Spacebeam (development of space optical communication terminals and optical communication ground stations).
In particular, the district plans to share core strategies and visions for ‘creating a sustainable startup ecosystem’ on the main stage of the CES 2025 Eureka Park Seoul Integrated Pavilion.
At CES 2024, the district also announced the future vision of Gwanak S Valley, including attracting 1,000 venture companies and creating 6,400 jobs.
Moreover, Gwanak S Valley has demonstrated its potential for overseas expansion and global growth by achieving ▲technology demonstration contracts worth 1.2 billion KRW ▲investment attraction worth 3.1 billion KRW ▲three export contracts ▲122 business matching achievements.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “Gwanak S Valley is Seoul’s only ‘university-centered startup cluster,’ where young entrepreneurs’ ideas become reality and technology becomes a platform that changes the world. Through CES 2025, we will promote Gwanak S Valley’s growth potential in the global market and establish a foothold for entering the global market.”
