According to Sina Technology, operated by China's Xinhua News Agency, on the 9th (local time), Jack Ma gave a speech on the theme of "The Next 20 Years of Ant Group" at Ant Group's 20th anniversary event held in Hangzhou, China, the day before.

Jack Ma began by saying, "I am very pleased to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Alipay with you all," adding, "Not everyone gets the chance, but 20 years ago when the internet was just being introduced, Ant Group was fortunate enough to seize that opportunity."

He continued, "The transformation that artificial intelligence (AI) will bring in the future will surpass everyone's imagination," and added, "AI will change everything, but that does not mean AI decides everything."

He emphasized, "What we can do in the future should be the same as what we have done over the past 20 years?bringing progress and change to ordinary people's lives through science and technology," and stressed, "We must let AI give us emotions, and then give those emotions back to AI."

Once ranked as China's richest person, Jack Ma is credited with revolutionizing China's payment methods by introducing the mobile payment system 'Alipay' 20 years ago. However, after openly criticizing the government's fintech regulations at a financial forum held in Shanghai in October 2020, Jack Ma has rarely appeared in public in China.
