Pocheon-si Holds Final Report Meeting on Research Service for Establishing Basic Plan for Youth Policy

Mayor Baek Young-hyun: "We will build Pocheon where young people realize their dreams"

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 9th that it held the final report meeting for the research project to establish the basic plan for youth policy at the Pocheon City Hall administrative meeting room on the 6th.

The report meeting was attended by 30 people, including Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon, related officials, members of the Youth Policy Committee, and youth policy supporters.

The city conducted the research project to reflect the diverse demands of Pocheon’s youth and to aim for improving their quality of life and future-oriented growth. At the final report meeting, policy directions in five areas?jobs, housing, education, welfare and culture, and participation and rights?were presented based on the survey results of the youth’s actual conditions and demands.

Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Youth are an important entity leading the present and future of Pocheon. Based on the results of this research, we will establish an effective basic plan for youth policy and create a Pocheon where young people can realize their dreams.”

Pocheon City plans to establish the 2025-2029 Pocheon Youth Policy Basic Plan reflecting the results of this final report meeting, strengthen communication with youth to enhance policy effectiveness, and prepare support measures that young people can directly feel.
