35 Village Community Organizations Participate... Sharing Village Community Activities and Know-how
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 9th that it successfully held the "2024 Village Community Festival" under the theme "Happy Village Life Dreaming Together" at the Baekseok Annex of Goyang City Hall on the 7th.

The event, attended by 35 village community organizations and over 100 participants active in Goyang City, featured various programs including △ exhibition and experience booths △ presentations of outstanding village community cases (Gimpo Spielraum Community) △ a happy ensemble performance by Haipark 2nd Complex in Deok-i-dong and a Goyang Buskers performance (Hyunta Band) △ and a community harmony event.

It was great to communicate with communities active in various fields, and it was an opportunity to reconsider the difficulties and importance of community activities and strengthen bonds."
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City said, "I ask you to take the lead in community activities where citizens take the initiative to communicate and harmonize with neighbors and find ways to solve local problems on their own," adding, "The city will also do its best to continuously develop village communities."
Meanwhile, the Goyang City Autonomous Community Support Center, which planned this event, plans to continue discovering village communities and supporting their sustainable growth in 2025 through various public contest projects, on-site monitoring by community support activists, education on the local subsidy management system (Botaem-e), and community capacity-building training.
