Jindo-gun Scholarship Foundation, 2024 Second Half Scholarship Certificate Award Ceremony

Middle, High, University, and Special Talent Scholarship Students, Out-of-School Youth
'Academic Performance' and Others: 552 People, 493.6 Million Won

The Jindo-gun Talent Development Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Kim Hee-su) in Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 9th that it held the 2024 second half scholarship certificate awarding ceremony at the county office's main conference room.


The Jindo-gun Scholarship Foundation, after providing 148 million KRW to 104 new university students in the first half of the year, awarded scholarships totaling 493.6 million KRW to 552 recipients in the second half, including those recognized for academic achievement, love for Bobaesarang, special talents, and out-of-school youth.

By category, scholarships were distributed as follows: △ 250,000 KRW for middle school students (70 recipients) △ 500,000 KRW for high school students (186 recipients) △ 500,000 to 1,500,000 KRW for university students (261 recipients) △ 200,000 to 1,500,000 KRW for special talent scholarship students (31 recipients) △ 500,000 KRW for out-of-school youth (4 recipients).


Established in 2008, the Jindo-gun Scholarship Foundation has raised a fund of 24.8 billion KRW and supported a total of 13.7 billion KRW, including 4.5 billion KRW in scholarships, 5.5 billion KRW in educational expenses, 1.8 billion KRW for fostering prestigious high schools, and 1.9 billion KRW for school facility support projects, greatly contributing to the development of local talent and education.


A foundation official stated, “We will do our best to nurture talents who will lead the future of Jindo-gun with the hope that even a small help can support students' challenges for their dreams.”
