At the event, Kim, along with Kim Seong-ho, chairman of the Yeongdeok County Council, heads of local Nonghyup cooperatives, and members of the Seoul-Yeongdeok County Alumni Association, promoted the excellence of local agricultural specialties to consumers.
The local agricultural specialties featured in this event included apples, grapes, and bracken. During the event, these products were sold at prices lower than the market rate. Additionally, a tasting corner was set up, and customers who purchased apples were given free Yeongdeok spinach, known for its sweetness from being grown in sea breeze conditions, attracting much attention through these events.
Kim Kwang-yeol, who led the promotional and sales event, stated, “In these difficult economic times, we organized this event to provide the public with an opportunity to access Yeongdeok apples under favorable conditions and to enhance the recognition and competitiveness of Yeongdeok’s agricultural specialties.” He added, “We will establish an efficient distribution system that directly connects producers and consumers, enabling the stable circulation of supply and demand between urban and rural economies, and achieve sustainable regional agricultural innovation.”
