Hanam-si Selected as ‘Excellent Institution’ for the First Time in Ministry of Health and Welfare Community Security Plan Evaluation

Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 9th that it was selected as an 'Excellent Institution' for the first time since its establishment in the evaluation of the '2023 Community Social Security Plan Implementation Results' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Since 2015, the Ministry of Health and Welfare has annually evaluated metropolitan and basic local governments nationwide on the establishment, implementation, and contribution to the development of community social security plans tailored to local circumstances, and announces outstanding local governments.

The community social security plan is a statutory plan that establishes a mid- to long-term plan every four years and an annual implementation plan each year, aiming to establish and implement plans reflecting the needs and characteristics of the region.

In the 2023 community social security plan implementation results evaluation, Hanam City received high marks for the appropriateness of the implementation process, such as systematically analyzing changes in the community environment and reflecting them in projects. The success was due to establishing plans reflecting the needs of local residents and closely monitoring the implementation process.

Mayor Lee Hyun-jae of Hanam City said, “The background of this award was the strengthening of public-private cooperation to promote effective policies considering the social security needs of local residents and welfare resources within the region,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to improve the quality of life for citizens through local residents' participation and cooperation.”
