The impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol was dismissed on the 7th due to a lack of quorum caused by the absence of the People Power Party members, while theme stocks related to Ahn Cheol-soo, a People Power Party lawmaker who participated in the vote, surged sharply.

As of 9:46 a.m. on the 9th, AhnLab was trading at 75,800 KRW, up 10,500 KRW (16.08%) from the previous trading day. AhnLab is the company founded by Representative Ahn. Although he has stepped down from day-to-day management, he still holds the position of the largest shareholder (approximately 16% stake).

At the same time, Sunny Electronics was trading at 2,260 KRW, up 491 KRW (27.76%) from the previous day. Sunny Electronics is known to have a CEO who is a former AhnLab employee, and it has been classified as an "Ahn Cheol-soo theme stock."

Earlier, on the 7th, the impeachment vote against President Yoon in the National Assembly plenary session failed to be established and was dismissed as 105 out of 108 People Power Party lawmakers were absent. To prevent the possibility of dissenting votes due to the secret ballot system, the People Power Party set 'non-participation in voting' as the party line, resulting in the quorum of 200 members not being met.

However, People Power Party members Ahn Cheol-soo, Kim Ye-ji, and Kim Sang-wook participated in the vote. Regarding his participation, Representative Ahn stated, "Even if there is a party line, exercising the right to vote according to one's conviction takes priority," and added, "I voted faithfully according to the National Assembly Act and in accordance with my duties and convictions as a constitutional institution."
