Hotel Shilla announced on the 9th that the 16th Shilla Stay will open on the 10th in Jeonju City, Jeollabuk-do.

Shilla Stay Jeonju is a building with 3 basement floors and 11 above-ground floors, featuring a total of 210 guest rooms, a buffet restaurant cafe (Caf?), a rooftop lounge, a fitness center, a laundry room, and other amenities. Notably, the rooftop lounge on the 11th floor has a modern Korean-style bar with a traditional concept reflecting Hanok interior elements.

The bar space is designed with the motif of the 'Munsal' (wooden lattice) of Hanok. During the day, natural lighting blends to create a Korean atmosphere, while in the evening, the Munsal and indirect lighting harmonize. The seating area by the window is planned with a motif inspired by the 'Toetmaru' (veranda) of Hanok.

Here, Korean side dishes with regional characteristics and traditional liquors are offered. The signature menu, 'Juan Sang,' is served as a full table setting including snacks, Korean beef seaweed yukhoe (raw beef tartare), fried octopus legs, and pork rib tteokbokki. The menu mainly consists of Jeonju specialties and may change seasonally. Additionally, single-item dishes such as bacon fried chili peppers and bacon kimchi pancakes reinterpret traditional Korean cuisine while pairing well with traditional liquors.

For alcoholic beverages, unique drinks using traditional liquors are introduced, such as 'Makfuchino,' made by blending Makgeolli with milk and ice, and 'Baemaksha,' a sherbet-like drink mixing Makgeolli and pear juice.

To celebrate the opening, Shilla Stay Jeonju will hold a 'Welcome Jeonju' opening event and social media (SNS) certification events. The Welcome Jeonju event uses numbers symbolizing Shilla Stay Jeonju, such as 1, 10, 11, 12, and 16.

First, customers wearing Hanbok who check in first at Shilla Stay Jeonju will receive one Shilla Stay Jeonju accommodation voucher. Additionally, on the opening day, December 10th, all customers checking in will be offered a welcome drink at the rooftop lounge on the 11th floor. The welcome drink can be chosen from chamomile Makgeolli or fig Makgeolli.

During the lucky draw event held for customers checking in during the first month after opening, customers who draw the number 16 will receive a Juan Sang full table setting to enjoy on the rooftop, those who draw 12 will receive a Shilla Stay signature bear doll, and those who draw 10 will receive a Nobel Prize-winning book. Customers who draw other numbers will receive a mask pack.

Throughout December, an SNS event will also be held for guests staying at Shilla Stay Jeonju. Participants can upload photos of the commemorative photo card provided as a souvenir during the event period and photos taken at Shilla Stay Jeonju on their Instagram account with the required hashtags. Winners will be selected by lottery to receive one-night accommodation vouchers at Shilla Stay Jeonju (2 people), Shilla Stay signature bear dolls (6 people), and Shilla Stay tumblers (8 people).

Hotel Shilla expects that the opening of Shilla Stay Jeonju will revitalize tourism not only in Jeonju but also in the Jeollabuk-do region. The brand hotel Shilla Stay is anticipated to contribute to the increase of tourists in the Jeonju area, including the nearby Jeonju Hanok Village.

In this regard, Shilla Stay Jeonju will launch room package products linked with nearby local restaurants and famous tourist attractions. These include the 'Gyeonggijeon Photo Studio X Shilla Stay' room package, which includes a voucher for the 'Photo Studio next to Gyeonggijeon,' famous for commemorative photo shoots in Jeonju Hanok Village, and the 'Jeonju Bean Sprout Soup Restaurant Tour Part 1, Hyundaiok' room package, which includes a meal voucher for 'Hyundaiok Jeonju City Hall Branch,' a renowned bean sprout soup restaurant. Shilla Stay plans to continue releasing packages linked with nearby tourist attractions in the future.

A Shilla Stay representative said, "We have opened Shilla Stay with a Hanok-concept rooftop lounge in the gourmet city of Jeonju," adding, "We will continue to develop room packages linked with local tourism products to help revitalize tourism in Jeollabuk-do."
