Gyeonggi Paju City (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 9th that it held the ‘2024 Paju City Volunteer Awards’ at the Paju Citizens' Hall Grand Theater on the 6th.

Hosted by Paju City and organized by the Paju City Volunteer Center, the ‘2024 Paju City Volunteer Awards’ was an event prepared to discover volunteers who dedicated themselves to volunteer activities throughout the year and to spread the culture of volunteering. About 400 people, including guests and volunteers, attended to encourage the volunteers.
The event proceeded in the order of a congratulatory performance by Kolon Global Co., Ltd. Sporex, screening of the 2024 volunteer activity video, congratulatory speeches, and an awards ceremony.
At the outstanding volunteer awards ceremony, a total of 141 volunteers received honors including ▲Presidential Citation (Yoon Jeong-sook) ▲Prime Minister’s Citation (Kim Young-geum, Lee Myung-im) ▲Gyeonggi Province Governor’s Award (5 people) ▲Paju City Mayor’s Award (10 people) ▲Model Volunteer Award (80 people) ▲Volunteer Hour Certificates (13 people).
In particular, this year in Paju City, the joy was further increased as recipients of the Presidential and Prime Minister’s Citations emerged at the ‘2024 Korea Volunteer Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City said, “As always, but especially this year, thanks to the volunteers who actively participated in the Gyeonggi Province Sports Festival and the recovery from heavy rain damage, we felt more supported than ever,” and expressed hope for continued cooperation in the future.
