Kakao Mobility announced on the 9th that it will strengthen accessibility to taxi-hailing services for seniors in collaboration with the Seoul Digital Foundation.
They jointly produced an educational video series titled "Kakao T Taxi Usage Made Easy for Everyone" and are conducting a campaign that provides detailed step-by-step guidance on how to install the application, hail a taxi, and make payments.
To understand the practical difficulties faced by seniors, Kakao Mobility conducted a preliminary demand survey targeting the instructors of the "Eodinajiwondan" within the Seoul Digital Foundation. Since this support group consists of active seniors who remain socially active even after retirement, reflecting their opinions enables the creation of content that offers real assistance.
Each piece of content in the "Kakao T Taxi Usage Made Easy for Everyone" series was produced as a tutorial video approximately 3 to 5 minutes long. The videos cover five main topics: ▲how to install and sign up for the Kakao T app ▲how to set the departure and destination points ▲how to register payment methods ▲how to board an actual taxi or cancel a hail ▲how to end the ride and share real-time location.
Additionally, Kakao Mobility and the Seoul Digital Foundation reviewed the content format, including instructor recruitment and video editing styles, to enhance the delivery of the educational material.
The videos will be released through the notice section within the Kakao T app, as well as Kakao Mobility’s YouTube and Instagram channels. Furthermore, they will be available on the Seoul Digital Foundation’s own edutech platform "Edutech Campus," the "Eodina 5-Minute Class" on its official YouTube channel, and as offline lecture materials. They can also be accessed via the partner channel SK Btv.
