Hyundai Motor's first high-performance electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5 N, showcased its outstanding driving performance at the global e-sports event 'Gran Turismo World Series 2024' World Final.
On the 9th, Hyundai announced that the Ioniq 5 N was selected for the time trial race qualifiers in the Nations Cup category of the 'Gran Turismo World Series 2024' World Final e-sports tournament held on the 8th (local time) in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Gran Turismo World Series is a global championship tournament for the world-renowned digital racing game 'Gran Turismo 7.' This year marks its 7th edition.

The Ioniq 5 N made a surprise appearance in the time trial race qualifiers ahead of its official introduction into the 'Gran Turismo 7' racing game in January next year.
The Ioniq 5 N is a symbolic model announcing the execution of Hyundai Motor's core electrification strategy, 'Hyundai Motor Way,' which actively promotes flexible electrification by inheriting past legacies. It is the first high-performance electric vehicle of the N brand that concentrates Hyundai's advanced electrification technology to push driving performance to the extreme.
Based on a high-performance all-wheel-drive system, it delivers a maximum output of 478 kW (650 horsepower, boost mode) and a maximum torque of 770 Nm (78.5 kgf·m) from the combined front and rear motors. It features an 84 kWh high-output battery and various high-performance electric vehicle N-exclusive technologies such as a high-performance EV-specific thermal management control system, providing overwhelming driving performance.
During the Gran Turismo World Series 2024 World Final, fans watching the Nations Cup race through banners in the 'Gran Turismo 7' game can receive the Ioniq 5 N game vehicle as a gift, allowing them to experience high-performance racing.
Earlier, in May, Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec at the '2024 N?rburgring 24 Hours Endurance Race' in collaboration with Polyphony Digital, the developer of Gran Turismo. This vehicle set a new record in the production electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) modification category at the 'Pikes Peak Hill Climb' held in Colorado, USA, in July.
