Park Beom-gye "Joint governance by two people is a 'secret collusion'... impossible under the Constitution"

"Impeachment Resolution Required by Regulations"

Regarding the joint statement by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, Park Beom-gye, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized it as a "HanHan (Han Dong-hoon·Han Duck-soo) collusion."

On the 9th, on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' Rep. Park said, "(The joint statement is) the second HanHan coup, the second civil war. Leader Han Dong-hoon should be punished," adding, "Leader Han took the form of a joint statement to say he would take responsibility for the entire state affairs, ensure there is no government vacuum, and meet with the Prime Minister at least once a week, but this is a declaration of excluding the President from state affairs. This violates the Constitution and also breaches legal provisions."

He continued, "President Yoon Seok-yeol said in the statement, 'I will entrust the party with measures to stabilize the political situation,' and 'Please find ways for our party and government to stabilize state affairs,' but there is no way for the President to delegate authority when he is fully capable," emphasizing this point.

As controversy spread over the 'dual leadership of state affairs,' Leader Han explained, "The Prime Minister is directly managing state affairs, and the party intends to actively consult," but Rep. Park retorted, "The President cannot be excluded from state affairs, and it is constitutionally impossible for two people to take responsibility for state affairs."

He also pointed out that the ruling party's proposed introduction of a 'responsible Prime Minister system' is impossible under the Constitution of our country. He said, "I repeat, it is impossible for the Prime Minister to take full responsibility for state affairs and discuss with the ruling party leader while excluding the President in the current situation."

Rep. Park stated, "Currently, the prosecution has filed charges against former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-han for treason. They are seeking an arrest warrant, which means the charge includes treason," explaining, "This means the prosecution intends to investigate the President, and investigating the President for treason indicates the prosecution is preparing to detain the President."

He added, "The three bodies?the prosecution, police, and the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials?are competing in investigations, showing a determination not to go easy on the President regarding treason charges," and said, "If the President is detained, there is no automatic suspension of duties according to regulations, so an impeachment resolution must be passed."
